Features: This book is a collection of short stories and novellas by Rao Xueman, a professional writer in the genre of youth literature, telling the stories of teenage boys and girls aged 14-17 as they grow up. It captures the peak of youth and the intensity of growth. It depicts the budding of adolescent love, with faint sweetness, subtle sorrow, and bitterness, as well as the conflicts between same-sex friendships when love arrives. It is so beautiful that it feels somewhat unrealistic, yet it is precisely this quality that makes it even more captivating. The girl's transformation from prolonged melancholy to radiant sunshine, along with the colorful charm of the Tibetan region, adorns the novel like a narrative oil painting.
Question: Mastering the art of packaging your novels with concepts, or being known as a master of concept operation, has become one of your defining characteristics. Concepts like "Painful Youth Novels," "Youth Cinematic Novels," and "Youth Interactive Novels" are well-known concepts in your works. So, do you think there is a single concept that can encompass the works included in this award-winning collection of novels?
Answer: If I must assign a concept, I would call them "Youth Motivational Novels." These short stories should be the essence of all my short fiction. Every time I write, I ask myself: What do I want to give to my readers? My readers are teenagers, and I hope that after reading my works, they can face their youth with greater courage and positivity.
The book includes works such as: A Youth Without Regrets, Wild Goose Crossing Sai Tan, Everyday Sky Blue, Ugly Rose, Uncertain Moves, and Growing Up with Guan Sha, among others.
