Features: "Rhapsody in Blue" is a single-movement concerto that flows seamlessly. It can be roughly divided into three parts based on tempo changes. The piece begins with a mournful introduction played by the clarinet, followed by a tremolo-like theme that reappears throughout the work through various techniques. This section reaches a small climax before concluding. The second part consists of a deeply moving, nostalgic, and passionate melody. It starts with the orchestra playing the melody while the piano accompanies with broken chords. Then, the piano takes over the melody entirely, with the orchestra providing accompaniment until the end of this section. The third part opens with an energetic and fast-paced piano solo, followed by the melody from the beginning of the piece, but now in a different style. The originally tremolo-like theme becomes firm, powerful, and bright. The music gradually builds toward a climax, and the piece concludes with the piano and orchestra playing thunderous sounds together.
