Features: To strengthen the construction of China's physician team, improve the comprehensive quality of practicing physicians, protect the legitimate rights and interests of physicians, standardize physician management systems, and refine physician training systems, the state promulgated the "Practice of Chinese Medicine Practitioners Law" and began the National Practitioner Qualification Examination in 1999. After years of practical experience in the examination, the National Health Commission's Physician Qualification Examination Committee organized experts and scholars in relevant fields to revise the "Outline for the National Practitioner Qualification Examination of TCM Practitioners (Assistants)," making the examination more scientific and instructive. To align with the revision of the "Outline for the National Practitioner Qualification Examination of TCM Practitioners (Assistants)," and to help candidates prepare for the examination in a relatively short time, systematically review and consolidate previously learned courses, we once again organized experts to revise and supplement the "Guidance for TCM Practitioners (TCM Assistant Practitioners)," making it more accurately reflect the scope and depth required by the examination outline to suit candidates' preparation. The principles of this revision adhere to: guiding the new revised "Outline for the National Practitioner Qualification Examination of TCM Practitioners (Assistants)," based on planned textbooks, with clinical focus, emphasizing the comprehensive application of theoretical knowledge, making it convenient for candidates to review while also serving as a practical resource for medical students and grassroots physicians to review and consolidate basic medical knowledge. To meet the needs of social development, China promulgated the newly revised "Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" on August 28, 2024, and implemented it on December 1, 2024. To facilitate candidates' understanding of the relevant content, we have added this material in this reprint.
