Features: "Insect Paradise" features no war, no killing, no scheming or deceit. It can be said that this is a comic version of Jean-Henri Fabre's "The Insect World." However, the characters are all cartoonish insects. Mario, the toad who smokes cigarettes and watches prey with a predatory gaze; Moscaudo, the moody mosquito who constantly faces obstacles and misfortune; Emma, the arrogant and fussy butterfly; Charlie, the gluttonous and lazy beetle; Aranea, the stern spider teacher; and Florm, the kind and gentle ant who is always tricked—these numerous insect characters are all hilarious. This comic uses personification to describe a fairy-tale-like insect world, with extraordinary imagination, vibrant and rich colors, exaggerated plots, and witty language. The insects it portrays, such as flies, mosquitoes, butterflies, and spiders, are all deeply humanized. Their joys, sorrows, loves, and hates deeply touch the readers' hearts, making them feel as if they have stepped into a humanized insect world after reading it.
