Features: When many things are still unclear or hard to explain, it's better to give up debates and focus on practical actions. Among the many things that can be done, writing Chinese reading materials suitable for students' age characteristics can be considered a pleasant phenomenon. I believe this reflects a common consensus: improving students' Chinese literacy fundamentally requires putting significant effort into Chinese practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Compiling selected texts. Although different perspectives and focuses may be applied, they can all benefit students. Students are like radishes and cabbage—each has their own preferences. Our selected collections can provide either radishes or cabbage for students. As long as the texts are both high in quality and content, there is no inherent hierarchy in what is selected. Relying solely on natural growth through extensive reading and writing without focusing on efficiency is simply not feasible. Therefore, necessary training is also essential. Especially under the pressure of various exams, which hangs like a sword over students, teachers, and parents, it is also necessary to strengthen some essential exam preparation exercises. This does not contradict the so-called improvement of Chinese literacy.
The compilers of this series are all frontline teachers who are close to students and understand students. They know what students like and what they need. Additionally, they all have years of teaching experience and are familiar with various levels of exams and strategies. I think, due to these factors, this series will certainly be well-received by students, teachers, and parents.
