Features: Mr. Hong Shichou is one of China's veteran piano educators. Over the decades, he has dedicated himself to cultivating piano talent in China, with a legacy of students spanning the country. In addition to his teaching career, at the age of over 70, he devoted considerable time and effort to collecting extensive materials, which he compiled into this book. It covers a vast range of topics, including the lives of renowned foreign pianists from various eras and schools of performance, as well as other historical records. In my opinion, it is a comprehensive and detailed reference work that is highly recommended. This dictionary includes 256 entries on famous foreign pianists, covering a total of 257 individuals.
