Features: Male, born in June 1939, native of Weixi County, Yunnan Province. Professor-level painter at the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Member of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology Popularization, Committee Member of Fine Arts, and Member of the Yunnan Fine Arts Association of China. Former Chairman of the Plant Science Painting Association of the Chinese Botanical Society. Dedicated his life to finding the intersection between science and art, using painting to celebrate nature, advocate for the protection of birds, rare plants, and the Earth's environment. Over four decades of scientific research and artistic career, he has participated in the completion of multiple scientific research projects and has illustrated over 50 scientific books. His personal art collection, "Birds of Yunnan," was published in Japan. He was commissioned by the National Postal Department to design several sets of stamps, including "Azalea," "Fir Tree," "Paphiopedilum," and "Cycad," among which "Azalea" and "Fir Tree" were selected as the Best Stamps of the year. His artworks have been exhibited in national exhibitions multiple times and have won numerous awards. They have also been displayed in countries such as the United States, Australia, Japan, and Canada. He held two personal art exhibitions in Hong Kong in 1992 and 1998, and in 1998, he held a solo exhibition titled "Birds of Yunnan" at the National Art Museum of China. His work "Grouse" was collected by the National Art Museum of China. In the same year, the Yunnan People's Publishing House published his art collection "Birds of Yunnan," and the China Popular Science Publishing House published the album "Selected Masterpieces of Zeng Xiaolian's Birds." In 1999, the Beijing People's Fine Arts Publishing House published the art album "The Charm of Flowers" and the postcards "Bird Chats" and "Fragrance of Flowers," while the Rongbaozhai Publishing House published the postcards "Zeng Xiaolian's Miniature Flowers and Birds."
