He laughs wildly, he cries bitterly, he dreams, and he must always be stylish in whatever he does. His joys and sorrows are all particularly exaggerated, and many pretentious critics therefore say he lacks acting skills—but so what? He is our comic hero in real life. After reading this, you will naturally think of Zhou Xingchi. This comedy king from a Hong Kong grassroots family brings not just a few classic lines and costumes, but a subversive way of thinking. He was also hailed as one of Asia's most box office-drawing figures and revered as "Uncle Xing." Through the humor of ordinary people finding joy in adversity, Zhou Xingchi made people laugh uncontrollably, yet in the laughter, they also felt the sorrow of the little man. In the "Time Asia Hero 2003" election organized by Time magazine, Zhou Xingchi became the only Hong Kong recipient of the Asia Hero award. Time magazine described him as: starting from nothing, he worked hard, used his wisdom, determination, and persistence to pursue his hopes for absurd comedy, becoming a comedy superstar.
