When the rainy season ends, the scorching summer follows. The loud chirping of cicadas in the towering trees of the forest echoes across the sky. This is the cicada family showing off their beautiful voices. Sometimes, the chirping sounds refreshing, but at other times, it can be annoyingly loud. However, it seems the cicadas don’t care about what humans think, because they have been waiting underground for four to five years, or even up to a decade, and now they finally see the blue sky and white clouds. All they want is to sing their hearts out. Moreover, they only have a singing career of just two or three weeks.
"Cicada, cicada, my song is so refreshing!"
"Cicada, cicada, what? It’s so noisy? I don’t care!"
No matter how people talk about it, the cicadas continue to sing their summer, because they are "summer musicians." But do you know what? Before becoming summer musicians, cicadas are excellent architects! Don’t believe me? Then let’s visit their masterful construction site now!
