Learning from and borrowing advanced experiences and practices of international development projects will help improve domestic development projects, especially the implementation effectiveness of nearly 200 billion yuan of agricultural support projects annually, and enhance their management quality. Development projects are one of the two main components of development practice, the other being development planning. About the Authors:
Ye Jingzhong is a Ph.D. in Sociology from Wageningen University (Netherlands), a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Humanities and Development Studies, China Agricultural University. He primarily conducts research on community transformation and development intervention, development theory, development planning and management, and international development project theory. He has published over 50 academic papers and authored major works such as Participatory Development Planning, Focusing on Left-Behind Children, Participation, Organization, and Development, The Theory and Practice of International Development Projects, Training Course for Sino-German Financial Cooperation Forestry Project, The Theory and Innovation of International Development Cooperation, Children's Participation in Community Development, Processes of Enlightenment—Farmer Initiatives in Rural Development in China, and Children's Participation in Community Development.
Wang Yihuan is a Ph.D. in Sociology from Wageningen University (Netherlands) and an associate professor at the College of Humanities and Development Studies, China Agricultural University. She primarily conducts research on development intervention, international development project theory, and gender and development. Her major works include How Discontinuities Become Continuities—The Dynamics of Participatory Development in Rural China.
