Features: With the improvement of people's living standards, there has been unprecedented attention given to health, beauty, and quality of life. New consumption concepts such as "investing in beauty" have become a fashionable trend pursued by an increasing number of Chinese people. Under this backdrop, the rise of China's beauty economy has become inevitable. According to the 2005 China Beauty Economy Annual Report, the number of people engaging in beauty consumption in China has reached over 300 million in the past two years. The average monthly beauty consumption of urban residents in China has reached 29.33 yuan, with the annual output value of the urban beauty industry reaching 168.04 billion yuan, driving related cosmetics consumption to 160 billion yuan and growing at a rate of 20% per year. China's "beauty economy" has gradually become the "fifth largest consumption hotspot" for Chinese residents, following real estate, automobiles, electronics and communications, and tourism. The rise of modern China's beauty industry has encouraged more beauty enthusiasts to join this booming sector. Surveys show that the direct employment in China's beauty service industry has reached 8 million people. However, it cannot be ignored that the widespread issue of "lack of highly skilled and knowledgeable professional talents" in China's beauty industry has made it seem prosperous yet struggling to move forward.,。 The uneven technical standards and service quality have had extremely adverse effects on both the beauty industry and its practitioners in China. Additionally, with the advent of the era of "economic globalization and the knowledge economy," the strong entry of cutting-edge technologies such as electronics, optics, biology, and fine chemicals, as well as traditional therapies like acupuncture, massage, and scraping, along with the rapid development of emerging technologies such as aromatherapy and SPA, have greatly enriched the connotation and scope of modern beauty. Education and technology are the two wheels driving the development of the beauty industry. Beauty practitioners have begun to realize that high-quality reeducation and continuous learning are crucial for future career development. In light of this, China Beauty Fashion Report has established the "Meige Publishing Center," dedicated to promoting and popularizing beauty fashion culture. In 2003, the center accepted the commission from the China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to compile the National Vocational Qualification Training Course for Beauty Therapists. Later, at the invitation of Liaoning Science and Technology Publishing House, it organized senior experts and scholars with years of experience in beauty teaching and practice to jointly compile this Core Technologies of Beauty Salons. This series of books is divided into different beauty treatments, such as whitening and spot removal, wrinkle and skin care, acne and skin care, desensitization and skin care, and body shaping and weight loss, providing comprehensive introductions from theory to practical operations for each item. This book starts with the basic theory of sensitive skin and focuses on introducing cosmetics suitable for sensitive skin, professional diagnosis and analysis of sensitive skin, professional beauty salon care techniques for sensitive skin, medical desensitization and de-sensitization techniques, as well as daily desensitization and skin care methods. It also includes "Resource Links".
