Features: On the journey to his mother and stepfather's house for Christmas, Joe encounters several strange passengers and a series of odd events. Then, he inexplicably gets off at the wrong station, and everything becomes unusual: Joe is forcibly robbed of his ticket by a fake ticket inspector on the platform, is unwillingly taken to a group of witches' homes by a crazy tricycle, has his memory altered, his suitcase marked with an invisible rattlesnake by magical ink, and the mysterious woman he met on the train reappears. Meanwhile, he is simultaneously targeted by two different factions. Joe doesn't understand what any of this has to do with him.
It turns out that centuries ago, a brilliant witch named Mabel wrote an authoritative work on magic and its spells. However, the royal family is said to have hidden a page of this book because it recorded an extremely dangerous magic—the one who masters it will possess the power to rule or destroy the entire world. Over the centuries, this lost page has (circulated) among witches, with the righteous witches doing their best to prevent it from falling into the hands of evil ones. To Joe's disbelief, this page is now in his possession, yet he can't find it. As a result, he embarks on a dramatic adventure with a little witch named Sprout. But is the true deadly danger of this page really the magic mentioned in the rumors...?
