Features: The "New Standard English (Fourth Book) Classroom Textbook" is a middle and primary school "one-stop" English textbook jointly developed by our press with Macmillan Education, a renowned educational publishing institution in the UK. This series is the first of its kind in China, developed based on the National "English Curriculum Standards" (Experimental Edition) formulated by the Ministry of Education, following extensive research and academic discussions. The principal editor of this textbook is Professor Chen Lin from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and the deputy editor is Associate Professor Lu Ziwen from Central China Normal University. The British editor-in-chief, Printha Ellis, and contributor Naomi Simmons are internationally renowned experts in English textbook development. Other distinguished contributors include special education teachers and curriculum developers such as Wang Jiaji and Su Lihong. This book, "New Standard English (For Grade 3 Starters) Book 2," is designed for use in the second semester of Grade 3 in primary schools. The entire book is divided into 11 modules (Modules), including one final review module. Following the of the previous book, each module is divided into three units (Units). Generally, the first unit introduces the language content for the module, while the second and third units provide several task-based exercises, including a song or short poem. The purpose of learning these songs or poems is threefold: to cultivate students' sense of language and rhythm, to improve their pronunciation accuracy, and to introduce certain Western cultures through familiar songs and poems from English-speaking countries. Some uncommon words in these songs or poems do not require students to learn their usage outside the context of the materials. In this book, we will further learn how to describe people, objects, animals, and more, with a focus on describing actions. We will study how to describe frequent actions, ongoing actions, as well as time expressions and numbers. The text introduces some new grammatical concepts, but it does not require teachers to explain grammar or for students to master it. Instead, the goal is to help students begin to apply these sentences. Teachers should pay attention to this in the teaching process. Activities (For Grade 1 Starters) (New Standard)
