Features: This book is divided into 17 chapters. The first 7 chapters focus on basic knowledge, including the history of English, etymology, characteristics, word formation, and basic morphological components of medical English terminology. The last 10 chapters are organized by human body systems, with each chapter consisting of 5 parts: common word-forming components in the terminology of the system, physiological and anatomical studies, symptoms of diseases, clinical examination and treatment methods, and relevant medications. The physiological and anatomical sections of the last 10 chapters are illustrated to help learners grasp the corresponding terminology intuitively. Each chapter includes exercises related to its content, designed to reinforce learning and promote understanding. Given that many learners find exercises tedious, this book offers a variety of exercise formats with practical content, ranging from simple word-meaning matching and terminology definitions to comprehensive translation exercises that not only consolidate knowledge but also encourage practical application. Additionally, the book includes several fill-in-the-blank exercises, allowing learners to master vocabulary through games, making learning enjoyable. Except for the bolded terms in the headings, all standalone terms and example words are listed in Appendix III with phonetic transcriptions and corresponding Chinese translations. The exercise numbering in this book is not organized by chapter but is uniformly sequenced throughout the entire book.
