Features: Dogs have a close relationship with other members of the canine family. We can see this in their behavior and physical characteristics, but dogs are quite different. Only dogs have a close relationship with humans. Bobby was a working dog of Scottish police officer John Gray. Before John Gray's death in 1858, they were never apart. Gray was buried in an unremarkable spot at Gray's Ears Teaching Cemetery. Bobby always stood there guarding his master's grave, only leaving at noon to beg for food, until he died 14 years later. The diversity of dog breeds is partly due to hybridization. When two breeds are crossed, their offspring are not usually an average of the two, but surprisingly, some new features may appear, such as short legs or upright ears. Hybrid dogs with desirable traits develop into new breeds.
