Features: From the perspective of human lifespan development, the first 3 years of life are a crucial period for growth and development. A report published by UNICEF at the end of 2000 pointed out that the first 36 months of a child's life are a key period of growth. Nutrition and environmental stimuli can significantly impact brain development. The report stated that providing young children under 3 with adequate food, medical services, and cognitive education can promote improvements in their future health, personality, language, and cognitive abilities, thereby contributing to national education development, economic growth, and crime reduction. Therefore, the report called on governments and families worldwide to prioritize the growth of children under 3.
From the perspective of neuroscience, brain development is extremely rapid in the early years of life. Within the first one or two years after birth, a child's brain cells reach their peak in a lifetime, although the connections between neurons are not yet stable. By providing appropriate environmental stimuli, these connections become increasingly widespread and consolidated, forming an individual's unique emotions and ways of thinking. This also demonstrates that if we can provide timely early education, we can fully develop a person's potential, cultivate positive emotions and a healthy psychological environment, which is essential for both individual lifelong development and national prosperity and the vitality of the nation.
