Korean Academy has gradually developed its own characteristics in fields such as comparative studies of Chinese and Korean literature, Chinese and Korean linguistics, traditional Chinese and Korean culture, and studies on China-Korea relations. Building on this foundation, to further promote in-depth research on Korea at multiple levels and from all aspects, and to reflect the new achievements and academic dynamics of Korean studies, the Korean Academy has decided to compile and publish this collection of essays, Korean Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences.
The collection presented to you covers all aspects of Korean studies. The topics are diverse, including essays on Korean politics, diplomacy, economy, history, culture, and China-Korea relations, as well as research on Korean literature and Korean linguistics, and special topics on Chinese language teaching in Korea. The authors include both renowned professors and scholars, as well as emerging young researchers. It can be said that this collection reflects, to some extent, the current state of teaching and research at Korean Academy, showcasing their relentless pursuit of exploration and theoretical innovation.
