Features: To quickly address major issues in China's agricultural production and narrow the gap between China's agricultural technology and the world's advanced level, during the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period, China implemented the program to introduce international advanced agricultural science and technology, abbreviated as the "948" Project. Since its implementation, based on the actual needs of China's agricultural and rural economic development and agricultural technology advancement, a comprehensive and large-scale introduction of international advanced agricultural technologies and applicable technologies suitable for China's agricultural characteristics has been carried out in fields such as crop production, animal husbandry, aquaculture, agricultural machinery engineering, post-harvest processing of agricultural products, and comprehensive agricultural technology. To accelerate the promotion of introduced technologies, the authors selected some technologies suitable for popularization and application and compiled them into the "948" Introduced Technology Series, providing references for a broad range of agricultural technology personnel, technology extension personnel, relevant agricultural enterprises, and rural livestock farmers.
