Features: In this volume, under the column "Research on Prosecutorial Power," we also published two articles. Comrade Zhang Xueta's article "Controversies and Reflections on the Functions of the Prosecutorial Organs" is one of the interim results of the research project on the functions of the prosecutorial organs, providing a review of theoretical research on prosecutorial power issues in China. Comrade Wu Mengshuan's article "Investigative Power and Legal Supervision" examines the nature of investigative power and its relationship with prosecutorial power within the framework of China's judicial system. Under the column "Civil and Administrative Legal Supervision," Comrade Chen Jianrong's article "On the Reconstruction of the Civil Procedure" questions the People's Court's initiative to initiate the procedure under the "Judicial Review Procedure" stipulated in Chapter XVI of the Civil Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China. From the perspective of the principle of res judicata and the constitutional positioning of China's judicial system, the article proposes specific legislative recommendations for the reconstruction of the civil procedure. In the column "Comparative Prosecutorial Systems," Dr. Zhang Peitian's article "A Preliminary Exploration of the Origins of the Prosecutorial System" systematically reviews the historical origins of the prosecutorial system and its evolution in developed countries. Under the column "Special Studies," we published two innovative articles worth reading.
