Features: Criminal law is a fundamental law of the state, and the authenticity of criminal law is proof of the authenticity of the state's existence. A comprehensive and in-depth interpretation of the criminal code to reveal its authenticity is the duty and mission of criminal law scholars. In April 2000, three years after the promulgation of the new criminal law, in light of the substantial research conducted by the criminal law academic community on the new criminal law, the legislative body revised the new criminal law in light of new social realities, and the higher judicial organs also issued legal interpretations on issues arising from the application of the new criminal law. To fully absorb the research achievements of the criminal law academic community, systematically reflect the activities of the legislative body and judicial organs, and deeply elaborate on the academic views of scholars, with the strong support of Professor Wang Junyi, the former editor-in-chief of the Chinese Social Sciences Press, and Mr. Zhang Shuxiang, the current president of the press, we organized the writing of the book "Interpretation of the Criminal Law of China." The main content of this book is the clause-by-clause interpretation of the criminal code, composed of five parts: "Preface," "Provision Continuation," "Literature," "Detailed Table of Contents," and "Main Text." In the "Preface," the significance, role, and common issues of each article, chapter, and section of the criminal code are elaborated; "Provision Continuation" quotes the provisions of the criminal code (including criminal law amendments) in their original form; the "Literature" section includes the names and sources of important published works and articles; the "Detailed Table of Contents" lists the titles of the main text content; and the "Main Text" reveals the main ideas of relevant provisions, elaborates on their historical evolution, explains relevant judicial interpretations, and argues on specific issues. Furthermore, to enhance the utility of this book, supplementary content is provided in the form of an "Appendix."
