The points and lines of history

Features: The author's new book, "Points and Lines of History," is described by Mr. Yan Leshan as follows: "Discussing the five thousand years of Chinese history with modern democratic concepts to analyze the points and lines of history, his compassion and insight into the truth of history may surpass previous scholars." This book condenses the five thousand years of Chinese history into a long prose narrative, making you laugh, feel stifled, and ache at times; laugh to the extreme, feel stifled to the extreme, and ache to the extreme. Beneath a literary text lies a heavy history of the nation, which is truly surprising. From structure to content, it seems entirely unfamiliar, filled with new perspectives.
