Features: "The Suryapradipa Sutra" is one of the important scriptures of the highest yoga tantras in the Vajrayana tradition of Buddhism. It was likely composed in the early 8th century CE, and the author is unknown. Historically, various Sanskrit commentaries have appeared, but only Tibetan translations have been available in China, with no Chinese translation ever published. To fill this gap and meet the needs of academic circles and readers, the translator employed methods of Buddhist textual studies, referring to the Tibetan translation, to transcribe, collate, and annotate the first four chapters of "The Suryapradipa Sutra" and the commentary by Bhorak?a.
