According to the requirements of State Planning Commission Document No. 2390 (1987), the "Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings" was jointly revised by the Ministry of Public Security and relevant departments. It has been reviewed and approved by relevant authorities. The "Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings" GB50045—95 is hereby approved as a mandatory national standard and shall come into effect on November 1, 1995. The original "Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings" GBJ45—82 is hereby abolished. If difficulties arise in implementing specific provisions of this code, they shall be resolved through consultation among the construction unit, design unit, and local fire supervision authority under the guidance of the local construction administrative department. This code is managed by the public security department, with specific interpretations and other tasks handled by the Fire Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security. Publication and distribution are organized by the Research Institute of Construction Standards and Quotas.
