Features: Since 1994, the Department of Japanese at Beijing Foreign Studies University has successively edited and published three issues of the "Collected Papers on Japanese Studies." This is the fourth issue. The papers included in this issue are categorized as follows: Translation (7 papers), Japanese Language Teaching and Research (4 papers), Japanese Language Studies (4 papers), Japanese Literature (4 papers), Japanese Thought Studies (1 paper), Japanese Culture Studies (1 paper), Japanese Society Studies (2 papers), and Graduate Forum (1 paper), totaling 24 papers. The Department of Japanese at Beijing Foreign Studies University is both an educational institution and a research center. As history progresses, our university teachers should take on the dual responsibilities of teaching and research, contributing to the development of Japanese education and Japanese studies in our country, as well as fostering mutual understanding and exchange between China and Japan.
