The Xiling Seal Society's headquarters and West Lake Gushan are globally recognized as sacred sites for seal studies, making the "Gushan Lun Yin" the most desirable choice for scholars in the field. The "Gushan Zheng Yin - International Seal Studies Summit" uses "Zheng" instead of "Lun" to emphasize that the most important process of scholarship lies in "proof." Thus, this international seal studies summit has a vivid and fitting name: "Gushan Zheng Yin." After a year of intensive preparation, the Xiling Seal Society received nearly forty academic papers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Japan. The papers cover ancient seals and stamps, Ming and Qing literati seal carving, theories of seal aesthetic and creation, disciplinary research in seal studies, and the history of the Xiling Seal Society, offering in-depth exploration and elaboration on the connotations of seal studies and culture from various perspectives. The esteemed Professor Liu Jiang and Mr. Mei Shushan from Japan took the time to contribute their works and attended the summit; many leading scholars in seal theory presented outstanding works, forming the backbone of this summit.
