Nephew of the magician

Author: Lewis
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-11-01
Features: In the 1930s, two elderly professors often gathered in an unassuming tavern near Oxford University to chat and share their eccentric ideas, vowing to each write a fantasy epic. Many years later, this tavern became a sacred place in the hearts of countless readers, as it gave birth to two great works about faith and imagination: The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings. Since the late 1990s, a single mother named J.K. Rowling has almost written a new book about "Harry Potter" for her daughter every year. When asked how many books the series would ultimately be, Rowling replied that there would be seven. This was because her mother had once read her a story about "Narnia," and that series consisted of seven books: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician's Nephew, and The Last Battle. The secret passage leading to the next house actually points to a brand-new world. In Narnia, horses grow wings, and when the talking beasts are awakened, a magical new realm comes to life.
