Features: The China Academy of Art is located in Hangzhou, a cultural ancient city in China. Its predecessor was the National Art College, founded by the renowned democratic revolutionary leader and educator Cai Yuanpei in 1928. It was the highest art institution in China at that time, located at Luoyuan on the Solitary Hill by West Lake in Hangzhou. This book showcases selected outstanding student works from the basic department of the Xiangshan Campus during the 2004-2005 academic year teaching report exhibition, including sketches.
