Features: The Book of Songs was originally referred to as Po or Three Hundred Poems and was revered as a "classic" during the Han Dynasty, after which it was named The Book of Songs. Compiled during the Spring and Autumn Period, it contains 305 poems. These works were created roughly from the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty to the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period, spanning approximately 600 years. The Book of Songs is divided into three parts: Feng, Ya, and Song. Feng refers to folk songs, including the fifteen Guofeng (national songs), namely Zhou Nan, Zhao Nan, Bei Feng, Yong Feng, Wei Feng, Wang Feng, Zheng Feng, Qi Feng, Wei Feng, Tang Feng, Qin Feng, Chen Feng, Huai Feng, Cao Feng, and Bin Feng. This book selects and compiles poems based on the principles of strong expressiveness, artistic quality, and representative content. On the basis of faithfulness to the original poems and attention to their origins, it provides accurate, vivid, and elegant translations and annotations. The purpose is to enable more readers to break through the obscurity of ancient literary language and freely roam the long river of classical poetry, thereby experiencing the joy of beauty.
