Bestselling author with over 100 million copies sold worldwide, highly sought after by Hollywood! This novel is the most rebellious in Dick's works, but also one of his most successful. Jack Isadore is an unconventional artist with all sorts of eccentric ideas (such as, he believes the Earth is hollow and sunlight has weight), and he collects all sorts of useless things. He lives in his own world, out of sync with reality. His sister and brother-in-law kindly try to save him, but through Jack's innocent eyes, they realize that it was actually themselves who knew nothing about reality; the troubles they suffer may be slightly better than Jack's, but they are even more ugly.
