Features: Our Seven-Day War On the day before summer vacation, a scorching hot day in Tokyo's Toshima district, all the boys in Class 2 of Grade 1 at a certain middle school suddenly disappeared. Was it an accident? Or a group abduction? Neither. In fact, they had established a so-called "liberation zone" in an abandoned factory by the river and launched a "rebellion" against adults. Hidetoshi, Ayumu, Yasunaga, Hibino, Tatsuya, Nakayama Hitomi, and Kumiko—these first-year middle school students—why did they do this? What measures would the school, parents, or even the police take? And what would the outcome be? This intriguing and entertaining story reflects various social issues, such as excessive academic pressure on students and arbitrary physical punishment by schools, carrying strong inspirational significance.
Our Angel Game After entering the second semester, the newly appointed principal disbanded Class 2, scattering Hidetoshi, Ayumu, and the others into different classes and prohibiting them from forming small groups. However, Ayumu and the others quickly devised a new plan. With a sincere attitude of repentance, they proposed to the teacher the "One Good Deed a Day" movement. The principal was delighted and vigorously promoted it to all teachers and students. However, soon after, problems emerged: some students, under the guise of "One Good Deed a Day," threw all their father's cigarettes down the toilet; others found someone occupying the elderly seat on a bus and secretly glued their pants to the seat with glue. While Hidetoshi and the others were carrying out the "One Good Deed a Day" movement, they discovered that a yakuza group was attempting to forcibly take over an apartment. They then joined forces with the elderly apartment owner, Sayo, to punish the villains in their unique way, saving the apartment and bringing their "angel game" activity to a perfect conclusion.
