Features: Since the establishment of the School of Foreign Languages at Guangxi University for Nationalities, the school has developed various Vietnamese language teaching materials. However, due to various reasons, these materials have never been officially published. Over the years, the Vietnamese language talents cultivated by our school have been highly welcomed by society, and employers have given recognition and praise to our basic teaching. In 2001, the Ministry of Education designated our school as a national foreign language training base for non-traditional language majors. In 2003, our Vietnamese language program was recognized as a Guangxi provincial-level excellent specialty. In recent years, exchanges between China and Southeast Asian countries, especially with Vietnam, have become increasingly frequent in politics, economy, and culture. The communication between China and Vietnam will continue to develop rapidly, leading to a growing demand for learning the Vietnamese language. To adapt to this trend and meet social needs, we have compiled this "New Comprehensive Vietnamese Basic Course," hoping to provide a better, easy-to-learn, and easy-to-master basic textbook for undergraduate and college students studying Vietnamese, as well as for people from all walks of life who are interested in learning Vietnamese. This course is designed for beginners, focusing on rigorous training in phonemes, initial consonants, final consonants, tones, spelling, syllables, sound discrimination, words, letter writing, as well as phrase and dialogue practice. Based on the phonetic characteristics of the Vietnamese language and adhering to the principle of combining theory with practice, it highlights key and difficult points, using phonetics-related knowledge to explain pronunciation methods and features. The course employs the Vietnamese spelling system for phonetic teaching, progressing from simple to complex with a combination of instruction and practice. "The New Comprehensive Vietnamese Basic Course (Volume 1)" is the foundational course for Vietnamese language majors, requiring students to systematically master the phonetic knowledge of Vietnamese. Through repeated practice, students will acquire basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Vietnamese. This course is divided into three parts:

2. Spoken Dialogue Section: Includes daily expressions such as greetings, visiting friends, going shopping, eating breakfast, getting a haircut, and communication.
