How to deal with contractions at 32 weeks

Patient's question:

No bleeding, amniotic fluid hasn't broken, but contractions are very strong, and there's lower back pain. Received a day of tocolytic injections, and the situation has improved. Do I need another round? Are there any negative effects on the fetus from excessive tocolytic injections? Should I rest in bed later?

Doctor's answer:

During the last 2 to 3 weeks of pregnancy, women often experience irregular uterine contractions. These contractions are characterized by weak intensity, lasting no more than 30 seconds each time, and lack a definite pattern, occurring at irregular intervals. Such contractions are not accompanied by bleeding or a discharge of fluid, and the cervix does not dilate. These are not true labor contractions and are clinically referred to as "false labor." There is no need to go to the hospital for monitoring.
It is recommended that women in the late stages of pregnancy avoid walking long distances or standing for extended periods.
