Features: This book, "The History of the Eighth Route Army," is divided into six chapters. To make the book more aligned with the actual situation of the Eighth Route Army, the author has made efforts in the following four aspects:
First, attention was paid to the writing perspective. The Eighth Route Army emerged from the flames of the Chinese War of Resistance against Japanese aggression, so its development history must be recorded from the perspective of the national resistance. Only in this way can one gain a broader view and better demonstrate the position and role of the Eighth Route Army in the overall national resistance.
Second, attention was paid to a balance between key points and overall coverage. Emphasis was placed on key aspects while ensuring comprehensiveness. The book was not written in isolation solely for the purpose of chronicling the development history, but rather centered on the two threads of development and operations and their interactions, running through the entire narrative.
Third, attention was paid to new research findings. The book incorporates the results of research on the War of Resistance against Japanese aggression over the years.
Fourth, attention was paid to the format and writing style. The book strictly adhered to the requirements of official history, striving for accuracy and credibility.
Additionally, some commonly used units of measurement from that time, such as mu, dan, pounds, and jin, appear in the narrative. To vividly reflect the conditions of the period, they were not converted into the current legal units of measurement.
