Does precancerous pelvic disease require surgery?

Patient's question:

Suffered from this for two or three days. The main symptoms first included blood in the urine, then blood clots, without any pain. When I went to the hospital for a check-up, they said it was a precursor to pelvic cancer. I'm asking if surgery is used for precursors of pelvic cancer?

Doctor's answer:

Pelvic cancer can be treated with surgery, but the surgical risks are high. After CT examination and treatment, the cancer cells have spread. Surgery can only remove visible lesions, but cancer is a systemic disease. There may still be residual cancer or regional lymph nodes. Since surgery damages the body's vital energy, the chances of recurrence and metastasis are very high. Clinically, it is recommended to combine biological immunotherapy to enhance the efficacy of conventional treatment and improve the overall effectiveness.
