How to check the fallopian tubes

Patient's question:

I've been married for several years now, and we still don't have any children. I'm very anxious about it and don't know if it's my problem. I've asked my husband to get checked, but he refuses. I'm afraid my condition might worsen. How can the fallopian tubes be checked?

Doctor's answer:

The examination methods for fallopian tubes include hydrotubation, contrast imaging, and laparoscopy. Contrast imaging is the simplest and most effective method. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is an imaging examination where a catheter is used to inject contrast medium into the uterine cavity. The contrast medium then flows from the uterine cavity into the fallopian tubes. Under X-ray, it clearly displays the extremely thin muscular fallopian tubes located within the abdominal cavity. It not only shows the patency of the entire fallopian tubes but also very clearly identifies the location and nature of any blockages. During contrast imaging, increasing the injection pressure while also clearing the fallopian tubes is the most direct and effective treatment. After flushing the vagina for 24 hours, take one diffuse film to observe the dispersion of the contrast medium within the pelvic cavity.
