Patient's question:
Normal results for leukorrhea examination, but the vulva is itchy for some reason, more severe at nightA bit more leukorrhea
Doctor's answer:
Vulvar leukoplakia, the lesions often affect the inner half of the labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, clitoral hood, and perineum, but do not occur in the vaginal vestibule, vaginal walls, or around the anus. At the onset, the first symptom is vulvar itching, followed by local redness and swelling, with occasional small amounts of scaling. The color gradually turns white, but atrophy is not significant. In the late stage of the disease, the skin appears pearl-white and the surface becomes parchment-like. In some cases, atrophy of the labia majora and minora narrows the vaginal opening, causing difficulties during sexual intercourse. Additionally, this condition is often bilateral and symmetrical in occurrence.
