Features: Theoretical research on the legal status and admissibility of audio-visual materials. Five controversial issues are discussed: (1) How should audio-visual materials be understood; (2) Are audio-visual materials synonymous with high-precision technical evidence; (3) Is it reasonable to classify audio-visual materials as an independent category of evidence; (4) Are materials that form audio-visual evidence always admissible; (5) How to determine the reliability and authenticity of audio-visual materials. To address these issues, this book proposes a "semantic structure—evidence function" analytical framework. Using this framework, it analyzes the fundamental theoretical problems encountered by audio-visual materials as a category of evidence and provides more reasonable theoretical solutions.
