Features: To strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the criminal law circles of China and South Korea, to organize the academic research achievements of both countries, and to promote the development of criminal law theory, the China Society of Criminal Law Research signed an academic exchange agreement with the Korean Society of Comparative Criminal Law in Beijing in December 2002. According to this agreement, the Research Center for Criminal Law Science of Renmin University of China and the China Society of Criminal Law Research jointly successfully hosted the first China-South Korea Criminal Law Academic Symposium at the Beijing Friendship Hotel from January 6 to 8, 2004. To comprehensively and timely provide the academic information of this symposium to the public, enabling the legal academia and legal profession to gain an in-depth understanding of the research results, the academic papers of the symposium have been revised and improved for publication. It should be noted that to ensure that Chinese and South Korean scholars could correspond on all topics, Professor Zhao Bingzhi and Dr. Zheng Yanpu collaborated on a paper on administrative criminal law after the symposium, thereby addressing the structural and systematic shortcomings of the paper collection.
