How is fetal movement usually?

Patient's question:

I have an itchy lower body, and my underwear is always yellow. What's going on? How is fetal movement usually like?

Doctor's answer:

Around the 18-20 weeks, you will notice fetal movement, and if this is not your first pregnancy, you may be able to feel the movement as early as 16-18 weeks, or even earlier. This is mainly because the earliest fetal movements feel like fish swimming or wings fluttering, and are often mistaken for indigestion, gas, or hunger. However, experienced mothers are more familiar with the signs that may occur, so they are better able to recognize the sensation of fetal movement earlier.
