Patient's question:
Cesarean section for a year, menstruation has come once, not pregnant, what to doDoctor's answer:
The return of menstruation after childbirth is a natural physiological phenomenon for women. How long does it take for menstruation to return after childbirth? This is a common question. The recovery time varies, with some women experiencing menstruation as early as after the full moon, while others may not recover until their baby is one year old. Based on the tissue morphology of the endometrium, it is estimated that menstruation may return as early as 33-42 days postpartum. Among non-breastfeeding women, approximately 40% regain ovulation within six weeks postpartum. By the 8-12th week postpartum, only about 35% of women have not yet resumed ovulation and menstruation. For breastfeeding women, about 25% regain ovulation and menstruation around 12 weeks postpartum. Most breastfeeding women typically do not fully recover ovulation function until around the 18th week.
