Qidong High School, founded in 1928 and located in Jiangsu Province, is one of the first national model high schools and the first batch of four-star schools in Jiangsu Province. Through years of educational practice, Qidong High School has gradually developed its distinctive educational philosophy: "People-oriented, moral education first, solid foundation, and individual development." Its guiding principle is "Everything for the students, for all students, and all for the students." The school has also established a set of effective management and research-driven educational methods. Currently, Qidong High School follows the educational philosophy of "developing individual strengths, promoting comprehensive development, and laying a foundation for lifelong learning." With each step forward, its reputation as a modern, first-class school with international influence continues to grow.
The new round of educational reforms, curriculum reforms, and examination reforms has brought significant changes to China's college admission system, especially in the reform of examination content, which has further emphasized the assessment of students' innovative abilities, practical skills, and comprehensive qualities. How to scientifically and effectively explore the new college entrance examination (Gaokao) system, achieving the best educational outcomes with the least input, and securing outstanding Gaokao scores to gain admission to top universities—this is not only the dream of countless students but also the goal pursued by educators nationwide.
To address this, our school has once again collaborated with Longmen Publishing House to scientifically plan and organize the publication of this comprehensive review series, "Qidong High School Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice" and "Qidong High School Gaokao Full-Scale Practice." This series is the first time our school has partnered with Longmen Publishing House, a national-level publishing house, to publish a middle and high school review series. We have granted Longmen Publishing House exclusive rights to use our registered "Qidong High School" trademark for the publication of this series. This series is the result of the collective effort of all junior and senior high school teachers at Qidong High School, who have created the "Qidong High School Educational Myth." It comprehensively and systematically summarizes the intellectual achievements of our school's junior and senior high school teachers in teaching and review guidance in recent years, especially since the "3+X" Gaokao reform and the new curriculum reform. This series effectively answers how to scientifically and effectively improve students' knowledge levels and learning abilities under the new curriculum and Gaokao system. It also allows our school's high-quality educational resources to be more widely shared and utilized, enabling teachers and students from other schools nationwide to benefit from Qidong High School's "Full-Scale Practice." At the same time, we strive to accumulate practical experience for China's basic education and the new curriculum and examination reforms.
During the actual writing process, the Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice is divided into two rounds, while the Gaokao Full-Scale Practice is divided into three rounds. Each round of the Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice includes six subjects: Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Politics. Each round of the Gaokao Full-Scale Practice includes nine subjects: Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Politics, History, and Geography. The third round of the Gaokao Full-Scale Practice also includes two comprehensive books: "Comprehensive for Humanities" and "Comprehensive for Science."
In the first round, each subject book is divided into two parts: A and B. Book A serves as a comprehensive guide for teachers and students to interpret exam points and questions, featuring main sections such as "Exam Outline Navigation," "Key Point Analysis," "Question Analysis," "Common Mistakes," and "Gaokao Forecast." Book B is a supplementary "Synchronous Enhancement Training" designed to accompany Book A. In summary, this series is an invaluable practical guide for middle and high school entrance examination reviews.
This time, we have carefully revised the second edition of this series, incorporating the outstanding achievements of educational, curriculum, and examination reforms from across the country in the past year. The revised second edition of each volume reflects the collective wisdom of dozens of experienced junior and senior high school teachers at our school. With a focus on cultivating students' innovative and practical abilities, the series includes meticulously selected, refined, and analyzed questions, refined through collective lesson planning, continuous refinement, careful consideration, and thorough integration. It combines originality with classic materials, ensuring that each volume fully meets the requirements of the new middle and high school entrance examinations. We hope that "Qidong High School Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice" and "Qidong High School Gaokao Full-Scale Practice" can truly become a green passage for students to successfully enter universities.
Among the three rounds:
- The first round is the "Foundation" phase, which is written chapter by chapter or unit by unit, with a focus on interpreting key points from the new "Exam Outline" for the middle school entrance examination, accompanied by a large number of question analyses.
- The second round is the "Ability" phase, which includes thematic lectures and reinforcement training, primarily aimed at cultivating and improving students' comprehensive and applied abilities within subjects, as well as innovative abilities. It also includes cross-disciplinary thematic lectures and reinforcement training.
- The third round is the "Final Sprint" phase, designed for students to simulate, warm up, and prepare for the Gaokao in April and May. Each volume includes 15 carefully crafted full-scale practice tests for the middle school and high school entrance examinations, scientifically constructing the new platform for "Exam Outline, Key Points, and Questions" to achieve zero-distance contact with the 2006 middle and high school entrance examinations, thereby guiding students effectively.
"Through thousands of sifting and filtering, though arduous, the golden sand will eventually be revealed." The middle and high school entrance examination questions and predictions selected in this series, along with the latest original questions created by our school's teachers, are scientifically and standardized questions extracted from countless examination materials. They possess high value and are authoritative, guiding, and targeted. Their purpose is to help students accurately grasp problem-solving patterns, improve their review efficiency, and enhance their exam-taking skills. This is also the aspiration of all the editorial committee members of "Qidong High School Middle School Entrance Examination Full-Scale Practice" and "Qidong High School Gaokao Full-Scale Practice."
