What are the types of gynecological endocrine tests?

Patient's question:

Endocrine disorder, acne on the face. Want to do a gynecological endocrine examination.

Doctor's answer:

Endocrine tests include many items. For example: serum growth hormone, serum prolactin, serum thyroid-stimulating hormone, serum adrenocorticotropic hormone, serum gonadotropin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone, serum antidiuretic hormone, thyroid and parathyroid, adrenal glands, gonads, blood estradiol, blood progesterone, plasma insulin, etc.
Medical advice:
Gynecological exams and endocrine tests are not the same thing. Gynecological exams are first and foremost routine checks, also known as gynecological internal examinations. The doctor observes and touches the external genitalia to check for any tumors, inflammation, or skin changes related to sexually transmitted diseases. They also examine the size, texture, and position of the uterus, the size and shape of the ovaries, and whether there is tenderness or pain in the pelvic area. The second part is a smear test of vaginal secretions. This checks for vaginal abnormalities, vaginal inflammation, and microscopic examination of leukorrhea to determine if there is trichomoniasis or fungal infection, as well as assessing the vaginal cleanliness. Finally, there is a cervical examination. This determines whether there is cervical inflammation, cervical erosion, or polyps. To prevent cervical cancer, a cervical smear test should be performed, where a wooden spatula is used by the doctor to collect shed cells from the cervical opening, which are then sent to the laboratory for observation of any abnormal cell morphology. This method can detect nearly 90% of cervical cancer lesions. If the cervical smear test results are abnormal, further tests should be conducted under the guidance of a doctor.
