Patient's question:
I have been experiencing pain downstairs in the same room. After examination, it was diagnosed as cervical inflammation.Doctor's answer:
1. Mechanical irritation or injury: One of the most common causes of acute cervical inflammation in women is secondary infection following cervical laceration during childbirth or miscarriage. Additionally, some women may increase the risk of cervical infection due to overly frequent sexual activity.2. Physical and chemical irritants: Nowadays, many women frequently use high-concentration acidic or alkaline solutions to rinse their vaginas to maintain cleanliness, which can easily damage vaginal and cervical tissues, leading to cervical inflammation and vaginitis.
3. Foreign bodies in the vagina: When gauze, cotton balls, or other foreign objects are left in the vagina for an extended period, they can easily induce infection and cause acute cervical inflammation.
4. Vaginal inflammation: Some women may develop acute cervical inflammation when they suffer from acute trichomoniasis, candidiasis, or bacterial vaginosis. Additionally, Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection can result in acute gonococcal cervical inflammation.
