Features: Since the 1990s, sustainable development has become a common goal pursued by governments and people worldwide. However, whether in theory or practice, agricultural sustainable development still faces a series of issues that require in-depth research and serious resolution. The key is to establish a scientific development concept that is people-centered and comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable. China is a developing agricultural country with a predominantly rural population. Achieving agricultural sustainable development is the foundation and prerequisite for the sustainable development of the entire national economy and society. Sustainable development is an eternal theme. Guiding current and future agricultural and rural work in China with the scientific development concept, promoting agricultural sustainable development, urgently requires the guidance of advanced theories and the reference of practical experiences from both domestic and international sectors. Through theoretical innovation based on practical experience, we can promote advancements in agricultural technology, education, and institutional innovation. We believe that the "Academic Symposium on Scientific Development Concept and Agricultural Sustainable Development" jointly organized by the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences in Higher Education Institutions of Anhui Province · Research Center for the Integration of Agriculture, Science, and Education of Anhui Agricultural University and the School of Management Science of Anhui Agricultural University, as well as the publication of this collection, will play a positive role in establishing, promoting, and implementing the scientific development concept, thereby advancing agricultural sustainable development in China, especially in Anhui.
