Krylov Fable: 100 Classic Works That Will Influence a Child's Life

Author: (Russian) Krylov

Publish Date: 2004-10-01
Features: If you accept purposeful friendship, will the result be like "Fire and the Forest," leading to self-destruction by burning oneself; if you believe in your own superiority and look down on others, will the outcome be like "The Picky Lady," causing you to miss opportunities and wait passively for doom. Which is more important—happiness or wealth? The neighboring "Tax Collector and Shoemaker" will give the best answer; what is the reason why "The Elephant is Favored"? The animals in the forest are holding a meeting to study the profound meaning, all of which is woven into seemingly casual laughter and light jokes. Don't know "The Pond and the River," which one would you like to be? To rest comfortably but gradually dry up, or to keep (gallop) endlessly but slowly grow vast. If you are a drunkard, would you hold a candle to add hay or walk in the dark to the ice cellar? But there are such "two country bumpkins" who keep complaining to each other.
