After reading this book, you are sure to make significant progress in home layout. Some people feel like they are wearing someone else's clothes and shoes when moving into a house previously occupied by others—it may not fit perfectly or feel comfortable. Feng Shui theory suggests that the best scenario is when the previous owner lived there smoothly, happily, and contentedly, but due to an increase in family members or financial prosperity, they moved to a larger, more luxurious home. Feng Shui theory holds that this positive energy transfer can have a beneficial impact on the new occupants. Therefore, purchasing such a used house is a wise choice. Conversely, if the previous owner died during residency, got divorced, experienced family conflicts, or faced financial difficulties, these negative influences could affect the new residents to varying degrees. These are known as negative energy transfers or negative residual energy. Feng Shui theory also emphasizes that before moving into a previously occupied house, it is essential to investigate who lived there and what events occurred. Special attention should be paid to any cases of suicide or violent deaths among the previous owners or family members, as understanding the reasons behind these incidents is crucial. Otherwise, the lingering negative energy could become a strong negative force, affecting the new occupants. Western experts studying such phenomena attribute it to the "negative house spirit." Therefore, when considering purchasing a used house, it is crucial to consider the aforementioned factors and not overlook the positive or negative effects of residual energy. Prudence is key. Additionally, apart from the reasons mentioned above, the following points should be noted when buying a new house.
1. Orientation: First, examine the house's orientation and the direction the main door faces. Traditionally, the orientation of the main door is highly valued. For a north-facing, south-oriented main door, the angle should be between 160–170 degrees or 190–200 degrees. For a south-facing, north-oriented main door, the angle should be between 10–20 degrees or 340–350 degrees. For a west-facing, east-oriented main door, the angle should be between 280–290 degrees. For doors facing east-west, the angle should be between 70–80 degrees or 100–110 degrees. Additionally, ensure the main door does not face stairs or the entrance of an elevator.
2. Lighting: Next, consider the distribution of light. The source of light can reveal the true orientation of the house. For example, if there is a large balcony facing south and the light comes from that direction, the house must be north-facing. Therefore, the placement of balconies and primary windows should align with the compass direction between 190–250 degrees.
3. Environment: When buying a house, assess the surrounding environment. Check for major construction projects nearby, such as subways, elevated highways, overpasses, or large gas tanks. Also, examine the front and back of the house for large electricity towers, water towers, TV towers, or high-voltage power lines that may "attack" the house. These nearby structures can negatively disrupt the magnetic field of the home. Additionally, inquire about future developments in the area and how the landscape will be arranged before making a purchase decision.
4. Structure: There is one more important consideration: when buying a house, check whether the structure is
