Features: The theme of this book is to explore the thinking of modern Chinese philosophy on the construction of a popularized personality. I call it the discourse of the possibility of constructing a popularized personality in modern China. Before clarifying the framework system of the personality discourse, it is necessary to first clarify the concept and basic meaning of personality. The concept of personality is polysemic. In some contexts, everyone has a personality. Even criminal offenders have personality, and their personality deserves dignity. This concept of personality is, of course, not defined in the sense of moral quality. In other contexts, only those with noble character and outstanding achievements are considered to have a personality. Chinese people often associate personality with moral character, giving the term a strong moral and ethical color. Sensitivity and self-discovery are the initial spiritual resonance; recognizing the atmosphere involves reflecting on the content of sensitivity, "recognizing is to repeat the thoughts in the mind after hearing it." Sudden enlightenment not only elevates the recognition of the atmosphere but also returns to the higher stage of sensitivity and self-discovery, that is, transforming the latter's "soul connection at a glance" into the former's "sudden realization." From the above brief examination, one can appreciate the author's statement of "reinterpreting traditional moral epistemology from the perspective of modern philosophy," and there are still many topics awaiting further exploration.
