Patient's question:
3+3, Had an ultrasound yesterday, there was a bright spot in the right ventricle. Hello, does this affect the child? Or something? Very worried. What kind of assistance do you need: What is a bright spot?Doctor's answer:
A strong speckle (intracardiac strong echoes) is a magnetic resonance finding, not a definitive diagnosis of fetal heart abnormalities on MRI. It generally suggests a possibility of chromosomal abnormalities, but the likelihood of this possibility is higher in fetuses with speckles compared to those without. However, it does not necessarily indicate chromosomal abnormalities. In clinical diagnosis, it is quite common and may be due to the following possibilities: central mineral deposition in the papillary muscles; thickening of the intracardiac chordae; incomplete perforation of the papillary muscles and chordae (a variation during growth and development). As the gestational age progresses, most speckles tend to enlarge or disappear.
