Features: To support the in-depth development of the Civil Aviation English Engineering in China and meet the needs of comprehensively improving the English proficiency of civil aviation professionals, we have compiled the "Civil Aviation English Basic Course." This course emphasizes fundamental language teaching and the cultivation of language skills, making it suitable for English instruction and training in the basic stages of various civil aviation disciplines. The textbook is divided into two volumes. The first volume adopts the approach of "listening and speaking first, sentence patterns as the focus." The first ten lessons include seven sections: sentence patterns, dialogues, words and phrases, dialogue notes, grammar explanations, pronunciation, and exercises. The aim is to achieve a relatively proficient mastery of basic grammar through sentence pattern exercises and grammar explanations; to grasp the main communicative functions of the English language through dialogues and dialogue notes; to master correct pronunciation and related pronunciation rules through pronunciation explanations and exercises; and to consolidate learned content through the exercises provided for each lesson. The last ten lessons replace dialogues with Text A and add Text B, aiming to enhance listening and speaking skills while strengthening reading comprehension training. The second volume emphasizes teaching at the discourse level, arranging five sections: texts, words and phrases, text notes, grammar explanations, and exercises.
