Patient's question:
In April 2013, I started taking Dan'e Fuke Jiaogao, 2 bottles. On May 10th, my menstrual period improved. During the course of taking it, I noticed that my digestive system was more open, and the frequency of needing to use the bathroom decreased. The stomach pain was slightly better than before. During the posterior wall of the uterus examination, a lump could be felt, and it would hurt when touched. Occasionally, I would feel a faint pain.Doctor's answer:
Generally speaking, chocolate cysts that occur on the ovaries often have a larger lesion volume, or endometriotic nodules in other locations with a diameter of 2 centimeters or more, are often difficult to control with medication and require surgical treatment. Alternatively, if the condition does not improve after six months or even a year of medication, surgery should also be considered. If the patient is young and does not have children, the surgery typically involves only the removal of the endometriotic lesions while preserving the uterus and normal ovarian tissue.
